Meralco Wall Mural

Meralco Wall Mural

May 26-27, 2016 2.5 x 4.0 m wave wall PILOT Jumbo Markers, UNI POSCA Paint Markers, ZIG Biggie Paint Markers 11 Hours It was such an honor for me to have done a mural at one of the offices of Meralco Philippines. Given the nature of the company, the elements in the artwork involved rather technical concepts like smart grid systems, power lines, wind turbines, and solar energy; as well as, more focused concepts of the Talent Resourcing Office, like multi-generation work spaces, power innovation, millennials and capabilities. This was a really difficult mural to put together but, of course, it was all worth it – especially when the staff entered and got all excited about every little detail of the artwork, as it was truly a reflection of the company they represented....
The Southern Gentleman Wall Mural

The Southern Gentleman Wall Mural

April 10, 2016 1.5 x 1.0 m wall PILOT Jumbo Markers, UNI POSCA Paint Markers 8 Hours This lovely southern gentleman mural was made for an equally lovely concept barbershop called Bond St. Social, at Paranaque City. The detail in this bearded man was kind of intense but, I really like how it turned out. One thing I love about this place, apart from the overall aesthetic, is the fact that they can pull off undercuts that are just as detailed as this drawing! Haha. Maybe that’s an exaggeration but, I would never be able to come up with detailed patterns with a razor… and on someone’s head. It’s a pretty cool place, I must say. They will be holding their grand opening on April 16, 2016. Make sure to drop...
Keep It Real Wall Mural

Keep It Real Wall Mural

April 1, 2016 5.0 m x 3.0 m wall PILOT Jumbo Markers, UNI POSCA Paint Markers 6 Hours This was another huge challenge. It was a mural for REAL FOOD, the newest neighborhood grocer at Molito, Alabang. The main twist this time was the fact that the mural was around 4 meters above the ground, and I needed to stand on a scaffolding set up the entire time… and I have a huge fear of heights! It was quite simple. A vine coming out of a prefabricated rustic window, which contained the random healthy fruits and vegetables sold at the store. Their tagline “Keep It Real” was also incorporated at the artwork. Lastly, there was a little touch of contrast in the area where the vine touched the black railing. The documentation for this project was done by me very talented friend, Erika Garcia. And you can watch the video on the Details Ink Facebook page. Great way to start the...
Delab Fabrications Wall Mural

Delab Fabrications Wall Mural

March 6, 2016 5.0 m x 3.0 m wall UNI Chalk Markers 6 Hours The picture above features my pre-mural face, where I’m just trying to figure out how I’m ever going to finish a piece. Haha. Anyway, I this mural project was for the lovely studio of Delab Fabrications Inc. which is located across the University of Santo Tomas. They’re basically the best friends/ big brothers of all BS architecture students… and all related courses… as they have the necessary skills and equipment to make beautiful architectural models, to teach the most up to date forms of design communication and forward thinking. I love it!! Anyway, for those reasons, I wanted to make an artwork with one of my favorite quotes: “The Possibilities are Endless” simply because, here at Delab, they really...
Office Window Wall Mural

Office Window Wall Mural

January 22, 2016 4.0 m x 2.0 m wall PILOT Jumbo Markers 12 hours This has got to be one of my favorite projects to date. I was commissioned to do this huge mural for an office at Legaspi Village. What I loved about it was that every member of the staff was represented in the super intricate artwork. It’s basically a stylized window panel view of a tree – but, there are many, many elements integrated in the drawing. From Sailor moon, My Little Pony, and Lego to surf boards, basketballs and a Big Ben. This was so much fun for me and after three days, everyone turned out to be as happy as I was.      ...
